Tequisquiapan, Mexico Trial 5G 700 MHz

ETI tested its 6-beam, dual-polarized communications system on a live network in rural Tequisquiapan, Mexico, achieving optimal coverage up to 3 km. Results showed increased traffic volume in both Downlink and Uplink compared to previous systems, with capacity further boosted by using 3 Remote Radio Units (RRUs).

The system repeated 20 MHz and 5 MHz channels within a 90-degree coverage area, providing optimal coverage at a 2.5 km radius with 5-watt transmission power, a 4 km radius with 10 watts, and a 6 km radius with 20 watts.

San Francisco Trial

ETI deployed a 5.8 GHz Duopol Multibeam Antenna System polarized in both horizontal and vertical directions. The system was capable of providing up to 6 duopol beams or 12 sectors in total (6 V and 6 H).

At 2.5 miles and 3.5 miles from the antenna, 256 QAM MIMO-B was achieved by employing 20 MHz channels. These channel conditions provided the highest modulation index and data rates available on the channel.

Auckland, New Zealand Trial

ETI’s system was installed on the 48th Floor of the Sky Tower facing southeast. The system provided six (6) 15° beams covering a 90° foot print.

The results demonstrated impressive achievements, including a maximum distance of 9 km and aggregate speeds of 200 Mbps per channel, with a total throughput of 1.2 Gbps across six beams. Additionally, smart MIMO switching capabilities were showcased, featuring both MIMO A diversity and MIMO B multiple-stream configurations.

Mt. Te Aroha, New Zealand Trial

The ETI system was positioned at an elevation of 952 meters on Mount Te Aroha, the highest point in the Kaimai Mamaku range. With a Latitude of: 37°32’2.24″S and a Longitude of: 175°44’29.69″E.

The results achieved a maximum distance of 16.1 km, maintaining a solid data link at this range with a 16 dB SINADR. At 2 km, a -58 dBm RSSI was recorded with a 24 dB SINADR, demonstrating robust signal integrity. Additionally, frequency reuse was implemented, effectively multiplying overall capacity.

Caribbean Urban Trial

Four Dual Polarized beam deployment in the Caribbean utilizing beam forming and beam-shaping networks at 2.5-2.7 GHz licensed band. System produces four dual polarized beams in 120°azimuth beam width and operates in the 2.5-2.7 GHz band. Deployment involved the complete repetition of spectrum per beam, in this case a 20 MHz channel repeated in 4 dual polarized beams (8 sectors). This provided our customer 10 times increase of speeds!
